In this chapter, Hirohito and Seta visit the island of Pararakelse, where they have been working on the mystery of the turtle gods. Hiroshio tells Seta that he has found the key to the mystery on the island and that he hopes to find it there. He is excited because he has never seen anything like it before. He asks Hiroshito if he thinks he is carrying too much on his back, and he says that he is, but that he wants to go back home to see if he has made it there safely. He also asks if he can take him with him three more days before the deadline for Todai's return to Japan. He says that they are taking him back because he is in love with Naruse, and they want to know if he is feeling well. He tells them to dig a hole in order to save energy until they can get help. He then asks if they can help him with the digging, but he says he does not know much about the subject of archeology yet. When he hears the sound of a fall asleep, he says it is not like him. He sews, but it is cuter because of his tanned skin.
