The narrator tells us that he's heard that the fireworks are going to be held in celebration of the anniversary of Orihime's marriage to Tamura. He thinks that if the skies clear on July 7 , it'll be the day that Orike and Tamura can reunite. The narrator thinks that Tamura is turning into his sister , and that's a bad idea. He's also worried about the relationship between Tamura and Orike. He wonders if they'll ever be able to get together again, since Tamura seems to be turning into a lecherous man. He also wonders if Tamura's writing a love letter to Orike, too, since he seems to think that she's already writing one. He asks Tamura if he knows how to get to Todai, which is where Tamura wants to go. Tamura tells him that he can do it, but he'll have to go to class first. He tells Tamura that he doesn't know how to do it because he hasn't been to class in a long time. He says that he would never do it to his sister, who is only in high school. The two of them talk about math problems, and the narrator says that she has to do her best. He wants to try some English to make his hair grow back like his sister's. He wishes that his bangs were like hers, so that he wouldn't have to grow out his hair like Tamura does. He adds that he wishes his hair were like his brother's, because it reminds him of himself when he was a teenager. He decides to write his love letter again, but this time, instead of Orike or Tamura, he wants to be like his own sister.
