In this chapter, we are introduced to two lovers who have gone to the same school together. When they arrive at the school together, they are both drunk and in love with each other. They promise each other that they will go to the other's school together and that they are going to be together forever. When the lovers arrive at school, they find that the school is out of service and they are unable to communicate with one another.
