About This Chapter
In this chapter, we learn that the demon realm has changed little since the last time we saw it. In fact, it's gotten a whole lot better, thanks to all the new technology. In other words, the demon world has grown a lot better. The only thing that's keeping the old world from getting better is the fact that the new world doesn't have the same technology. The old world, the narrator tells us, is full of "unrelenting people like you" . The narrator asks the kid if he's decided to stay or get devoured by the new things. The kid says yes, and the narrator asks if the kid is going to be obedient to him or not. He's surprised that the kid didn't tell him earlier that he was going to stay and get devoured, but the narrator points out that the world isn't a bad place to be, and that he can sustain the kid. He borrows the kid's body and tells the kid to stay alive. He says that since the kid possessed the "river of life" in him, his body is no longer important to him anymore. He also says that the soul elements in the kid are so disgusting that he'll have to take them out of his body in a few years. The demon world is a "tailored place" for him and him only, and he can't bear to live in it. He wants to know what's happening. The dude says that he has forgotten to ask his name, and so
