In this chapter, the "god of fear" coughs. He's got a message for the "brats" of the underworld: you're a brat, and you've got no idea how big the world is. The "gods" can deal with this problem, he says, because they're so popular. They're also popular because they don't have to deal with people who resist the gods' wishes. The group of "rats" thinks that they've a chance at winning because of "icarus," he says. He says that since they can't use the "demon realm" under their wing, they'll have to stay in their spiritual bodies. He tells them to chill out and enjoy the feast, because he's prepared an appetizer. They all look at the eye, and he says that it's an illusion. He doesn't want them to think that he killed them, he just wants them to calm down and enjoy their feast. He asks them to stop staring at the "eye," because it'll make them lose their minds. He warns them not to look at it, because it can touch the "deepest part of their heart" and bring out their greatest fear. They should calm down, he tells them, and let the "old dudes" set the course for them from now on. He adds that he can sense their courage, but he won't let them go against "the gods." He promises that he'll wipe out their "little hope" .
