About This Chapter
Now that the battle has been won, the monster realizes that he's the one who's won. He wants to know why the other creatures haven't been killed yet. He's not scared of the undead, but he does want to know what to do now that they're gone. He doesn't want to use the monster's abilities on his own, so he'll have to figure out a way to take down the undead himself. He thinks that the only thing that matters is his own body, and that's why he can't rely on the monster to help him. He also thinks that his hands are filled with the blood from the battle, and he feels like he lost his humanity. He wonders why the monster seems to be slowing down so suddenly. He asks why the creature isn't killing the undead faster, and the monster says that it's because the creature's perception is getting better and better. He says that he would like to see how many souls he can devour before he can finish the job. The monster says he'd like to know how good he is, and then he asks if the creature is trying to eat him. The creature says that the monster is making him mad right now. He warns the creature that he might look delicious, but that he really wants to be eaten.
