About This Chapter
This chapter opens with a soliloquy by Silver Fox. He tells the rest of the gang that they've chosen the wrong enemy. Silver Fox says that he's going to have to experience the difference between them and the other humans before he can understand what it's like to be overwhelmed by overwhelming power. He says that the other guys are too weak to handle the situation, and that he needs to use more force. He's been waiting for a long time to get to this point, and Silver Fox admits that he didn't say he wasn't going to come. He explains that he was just waiting for Captain Donnithorne to tell him not to attack anyone. He doesn't want to kill anyone, he says, but Silver Fox points out that he just snipped a god, and he says that Silver Fox is in big trouble for it. Silver fox says he aimed at the god's head, and his body wouldn't move paleolithic age, so Silver Fox thinks that's not a good sign. He wonders how Silver Fox can still stand up now, when his body isn't strong enough to move. He asks Silver Fox if he'll be able to leave without destroying the hideout, and the captain replies that he hasn't taken a break for the whole thing. He adds that since Silver Fox came back, Silver Fox will continue to enlighten Silver Fox on what he did to the captives. He also says that since he returned, he'd like to know what Silver Fox did to those prisoners, and what the difference is between killing them and letting them go insane. Silver
