The boy asks why he has to risk his life, and the demon answers that he does not understand a thing about the city. He says that the guy is too strong, that he only uses basic soul elements against him, that the gap between them is too great, that his mother has been fighting them all her life, that if his mother found out that he was going to run away, her legs would break. The demon says that he gave the boy a chance, but that he should not have listened to the boy's talk about the changing tide. He asks the boy if he is curious about the commotion there, and icarus says that there is still a powerful person from the demon world, but the boy is distracted by the burning feeling in his soul. He replies that the fact that they are hiding in the city was because they attacked the realm of the demon. The world is about profits, he says, and everyone who wants to live should follow him.
