This chapter opens with a flashback to the events of the previous chapter. In this flashback, the Governess realizes that she has lost all control over the situation at the factory. She realizes that the fire was not big enough to burn down the factory, and that she will have to end the fight at this point. She also realizes that even if she were to lose the fight, she would not be able to transform back into the original Governess, because the difference between the two of them is so great that they cannot be defeated. The Governess then realizes that this is her fight, and she cannot lose it even if it means losing her life. She begins to worry about the appearance of the factory because of the fire, but she realizes that it will take a long time for her to transform from the original to the new form.
