The chapter opens with Cai-Liang and her mother, Madame Bovary, arriving at the "sunshine realm" . They are both mothers and they are very happy to see each other. They tell each other how much they appreciate each other's company. Cai-Ling tells her that she is very grateful for the help she has received from the demon realm. She also tells her mother that she has been entrusted with the task of guarding the place.
