About This Chapter
Chapter sixty-nine opens with a flashback to the previous chapter, in which we learn that the "holy knights" are on their way to the top of the "nanjing tower" to face off against "the half-demon" . The two knights are on the same side of the tower, and they are fighting for the right to be the king of the world. The knights are confident that they will win, and the commander is nowhere to be seen. The captain is surprised to see that the captain is still alive, but the captain explains that he has something to prove in this tournament, and he needs to win this match to prove that he is the true leader of the knights. He asks the captain if the captain's teardrop in the corner of his eye is the "true form" of the captain, and if he thinks the captain will beat him again, the captain says that he will never let the captain get into such a situation. He also says that the half-beasts have an "original form" that is stronger and scarier than the knights, and that they have to sacrifice a part of their life to maintain this form. The chapter ends with a soliloquy by the captain in which he says that it is not too late for the captain to surrender, but it is more dignified to do so than to use his last energy to blow him up into particles.
