In this chapter, we learn that the mastermind of the plot is none other than "the honorable soul collector" , "Mr. benedict" . We learn that he's a member of the Brotherhood, and that he and his men have been summoned by the Brotherhood's "white cloud pavilion" to help them find their father. The Brotherhood is upset that they've been summoned, and they're even more upset when they learn that their father has forbidden them to go near the white cloud pavilion's territory. They're also upset that the Brotherhood is using the name of their father's father to get them to do something they don't want to do. The brothers are also upset because their father is still alive, and the Brotherhood has been waiting for him for two hundred years. They say that if the "one-eyed dragon," "earth eye," heard them say that, they'd die a horrible death. They also say that they have no intention of helping their father, but that if they do go and find his father, he'll be up to them, and this doesn't have anything to do with the Brotherhood.
