In this chapter, we are introduced to the main character, the arrogant, self-confident, and self-important xiaonian. He tells us that he is in love with the man who he believes to be his true love, the man that he loves must be single. He then goes on to say that he has no one else to love besides him, and that the reason he has sent all of the women away from the castle is to send them away. He also says that he went to England to meet a marriage partner. He says that his family arranged that, but he has his own limits. He hates the fact that he will be marrying a woman who is equal in status to him, but still talks about love with him.
