The narrator tells us that he's sorry that he has to leave, but he can't take it anymore. He's sure that he and Ching-woo are not suited for each other, and he wants to make up. He asks if he can go with him, and Ching says that he can do anything he wants without his interference, but that he didn't expect him to leave like this. He tells us how afraid he was that he would fall for Gong-woo, and how happy he was when he took his ring off the skybridge. He says that if he left, he would have no idea what he'd have left in his dark world. He begs him to stay, and they promise to start a new life together.
