The next morning, the family gathers to eat breakfast. Phoebe tries to get her son to play with a mouse, but the little boy refuses, saying that his uncle is too busy with his own business to teach him how to do so. Phoebe scolds her son for being so hostile to a child, but he responds that he doesn't like children, and that he would like to have a child of his own if he could. He also criticizes the family for having so many women, and says that he hopes their child will look like him.
