Even though he's a third wheel in the marriage, Fang still wants to talk to his wife. He wants to know why she's still thinking about the woman who nearly killed him. He asks if he can talk to her alone. He also wants to eavesdrop on her conversation. The door to the house is closed, so he can't see her. He's worried about his son, who might get sick from heatstroke in the hot house. He tells her to take her son, bob, out of the house.
