The next morning, the young master wakes up to find that the waitress has snuck into his room and drugged him. Everyone on the ship has an alibi, except for the waitress. The young master asks the waitress why she didn't tell him earlier, and the waitress explains that she wants to be free and that she would never have provoked a "big figure" like him three years before. She says that since he provoked her three years ago, he won't be able to "get rid of" her that easily. She tells him that she consulted with her psychiatrist about why he keeps denying her innocence, and he points out three reasons. The first reason is that she wanted to stick with him, but he allowed her to throw her into the woods, so she needed to impress him. The second reason, he says, is that he's a "master" at seduction, and once he arouses his interest, he'd start "playing cat and mouse" with him.
