The next morning, the Governess wakes up to find herself in bed with a woman she has just met. The Governess tells her that she can sleep wherever she wants, but that this is her house and she can leave anytime she wants. She wants to sleep with her woman, but she can't sleep with anyone who has already raped her. She tells her husband that if he wants to go back on his word, then he can do so, but he has to choose between protecting the already-impure body or protecting the woman. He says that he's no match for the man and that he will leave the next day.
