About This Chapter
The narrator tells us that the graffiti shop where he works is out of date, and that only a few shops sell it. The owner of the shop must have bought the paint from somewhere far away. The narrator is disappointed because he was planning to buy the paint as compensation for the loss of his vision. He tells the owner that he painted many portraits of the man, using the brand of the paint. He asks the owner if it is possible that he brought the paint, and the owner says that it is not possible. He also tells the narrator that the man is completely forgotten about him, and of course the paint brand is not available, but that is fine. He goes on to say that he bumped his head because the man came to the shop to buy paint. It is entirely the man's fault, he says, because he is tall and walks carelessly. He then asks the woman why she seems to mind when her man gets hurt, and she says that she does not mind when men get hurt. She then asks him if he has learned the ten sweet gestures in love, and he says that he did not listen to the whole thing, but he made a foolish mistake
