In this short scene, the narrator tells us that the country has been put on high alert because of a new outbreak of pneumonia. He says that he hasn't seen any signs of the group in the country, and that they've been cut off from the outside world. He also says that the bodyguard has been keeping him from entering his office because he's "working on the robot" . The narrator asks the bodyguard if he can stay with him for a while, and the bodyguard tells him to go back to drawing. He tells the narrator that he has a surprise for him after they get back, and asks him to stay for a bit. When the narrator asks if the woman is feeling well, the bodyguard says that she's fine, but that she has a headache. He asks the woman if she'd like to go for a nap, and she says yes, and then the narrator says he'll stay with her.
