In this chapter, we learn that gong's mother has come to visit him in China. She is not very polite to him, and he tells her that he is now his "girlfriend" and that he cannot leave her for long. He says that he will come back later and play with her. He tells his mother that he hasn't seen her for a long time, and that she looks so young.
