About This Chapter
In this chapter, we learn that the angel fragments didn't flow out of the body of the dead woman, and that the creator of the creation was deceived by the woman's delusions. The mother and the other angels are worried that they're going to be left behind, but the narrator reassures them that he's not going to leave. He's already dead, he says, and he wants to be rewarded for his hard work. He asks Xiaochao if he'd like to play on the piano, and the piano responds exactly as he said it would. The piano turns white, the narrator tells us, and it's because the piano has accepted the humans. The narrator tells the audience that the piano is the "angel of love" because love and death were born together, and this is the reason why the humans want to play it.
