When Tod asks why he didn't come to help him watch over Xiaochao, Tod says that he always hoped that the angel would replace him one day, but he can't stand waiting any longer. He tells Tod that if other angels find out that he's in the body of another angel, they're going to tear the two apart. He says that even if the other angels don't realize that the creator created the grim reapers, they still won't understand the reason for the creation. Tod promises that he will manage the angels while he is gone. He asks Tod if there's anything he can do to help, but Tod refuses to tell him, saying that he can only help if the creator isn't dead. He also refuses to say whether the creator wants to solve the problem by himself, because he doesn't want to be seen as a failure.
