The next morning, the three of them wake up to find that the reaper is dead. They decide to trap the light of the universe so that death will not be able to escape. They also decide to use the keys in Tod's body to kill the reapers. The piano sound of death's music reminds Tod of his childhood, when he was able to play the piano and live a happy life.
