The grim reaper returns to the apartment and tells Mr. Lorry that he has already given him the key to the room. He asks Lorry if he can go back to his dream, but Lorry tells him not to worry, because the girl has told him that she wants to be happy. He tells her that the angels know that she is on their side, and that she has changed her mind because she remembers that she saved her from the devil. She is not one of them at all, Lorry says, and he tells her to let death take care of her wound and release her. He says that he will have to wear the glove while he takes the keys, and Lorry responds by saying that they even destroyed a universe together, and they even arrived on earth together. He then tells Lorry why he hasn't come to check on him, because he killed the angels of love and music, and swallowed their music score. He explains that he's been watching Lorry closely, so Lorry has gotten used to Lorry's work rest habits. He goes on to say that if Lorry keeps sleeping, they will die, because they will be dead while Lorry is off dreaming. They need to get the keys to the piano so that Lorry can play it.
