Now that the reapers have created a new god, they're going to make sure that all the angels who work with them are under their protection. They're also going to try to get rid of Michael, who's still living at Toad's house, because he's not a good match for the new god. The new god is called the "god of death" because he can kill angels, but the old god was able to kill them because he couldn't love them. The old god is going to have to kill Michael to get him to love him again.
