It's been a long time since we last saw each other, and now it's time for us to get back to the present. We're in a hotel in the middle of nowhere, waiting for Tod to show up. He's not there yet, but he promises to do his best to make it look like he's there. He doesn't care if he can't meet with Tod, because he'll be fine. He asks if Tod has a cold, and he says he will bring him to the snow mountain the next day. Then he asks if they're worried about each other. He wants to know why they made the trip to the place where their lives are connected. Tod says he wants to break off the connection between them, because now they can absorb the energy of the Earth and not need to worry about finding the keys to the piano. He also wants to use their lives as support to keep her warm, so she won't be able to keep calling for him in her heart anymore. Finally, he wants her to gather the piano keys so that she can use them as a weapon against the Grim Reapers, so that they can kill him. But what if she meets with danger? He says he knows everything, so he knows that she's in danger.
