In this chapter, we learn that the portal has been destroyed, and that the angels have been defeated by the "grim reaper" . Death is furious, and he asks why the portal is being closed. The angel of light wants to go back to the universe with him, but the angel of darkness wants to take him back with him. The portal is closed, and the angels blame each other. Death asks why he put himself in such a bad position earlier, when the piano can still open the portal. He asks if the piano keys can still be opened. The piano keys, he says, are the keys that the "angel of truth" needs to get back to his universe. He says that he will release the "Angel of Truth" from his punishment by taking more of his piano keys. He then asks if they have to obey the law of the universe in the future. The answer is yes. They have to turn over all of their piano keys in order to return to their universe. The only way to do this is to cooperate with "the grim reapers," who will use the piano to help them return.
