About This Chapter
The narrator is glad that the reader can be free. He wants to cleanse himself. The patrolmen in the ice-hockey team have to be rescued ASAP. The narrator wants to escort the patrolmen to the "cleansing room" alone. He tells the reader that he has told him to wear the ring all the time. He says that he doesn't feel well today. He wonders why they have to remove the clothes. He imagines that he is in the room to cleanse. He thinks that the room is filled with poisonous smoke and blisters. He pours enough oxygen into the body of the robot for one hour before entering the room. He fears that the robot is going to destroy all the people in it. He apologizes to the reader later. Since he recovered his memory, the narrator has been trying to convince him to recognize the "wrongness" of the world. If he didn't show up in time, he would lose the person who has his own feelings and thought. He asks the reader if he has ever thought about him. He realizes that he was mercilessly abandoned when he was a child, and he realizes what it means to say goodbye.
