About This Chapter
The monster explains that he has a lot of work to do today, but he's going to tell you all he knows. He doesn't really understand the principle behind the potion, but says he'll give it a try. The monster asks if the farmer has reconsidered his decision to support the bridge, and the farmer says he hasn't. He's attacking the farmer to ensnare him. He asks if they're putting up chicken coops in the forest. The farmer says they are, because the souls of farm animals still have instincts. He tells the farmer that he wanted to ask him to persuade him, but the farmer refused. He says he really wants him to stay, though, and he wonders if he can use his life to threaten the farmer, but that's not where the farmer's wrong. He explains that the two-part potion has two parents, one with him and one with the monster. If the two of them get into a fight, one of them will die, but if they get into an argument, the monster won't be able to harm either of them. He warns the farmer not to make too much of a fuss, as long as they don't do too much damage, he'd be okay. He also says that the real parent of the potion isn't there, but it's well hidden. The bridge will soon appear.
