In this chapter, the voice of the "son of god" is heard. It is a messenger of the gods, and he tells the boy that he has finally found him. He tells him to take it easy, because he has hurt his throat. He will bring the boy to the Hall of the Gods. The hall of gods records the children's emergence, then sends a messenger to find them. The boy tells the story of how he and the other children were kidnapped and locked up together. He says that he was too late to rescue them, but they will not be harmed in the next life. He must find the killer, and take revenge on all of them. He asks the boy if he is sleeping, and the boy says he is. The messenger tells him that he must kill the boy first, for he is no longer needed as a "sonof god" . He wants to kill him now, so that he will not have to use his powers later.
