About This Chapter
The monster asks if he wants to stay in the dream forever. He tells the monster that he's sorry for pulling him into the dream. He also tells him that the world that he wants is very alluring. If the monster wants to leave, he should remember the things that he did. He doesn't know what to do, but he promises to help. The monster tells the story of how he came to be in this dream, and how he was hurt by the monster. He says that he was the one who wrote the banned books and hid with the monster in the basement. He's also the one that stole wheat from the monster's hiding place. He asks if the two of them have forgotten their difficult days together, and if they've forgotten the words that they say when they have a fever. The weather is great, and they can go to the top of a mountain to look at stars. The road between the mountain peaks is too narrow for them to go, but they can still go. The two of you are going to have a good time.
