About This Chapter
In this chapter, we learn that the master of the mirror array is none other than Dr. Barlow. He's here to find out what's going down between the two of them. He wants to know why they're there, and he wants to talk to them. The master explains that he's looking for a "god" and that they've come to settle a score. He says that in the last six months, "beams of light" have fallen everywhere, causing people to "murder each other in the wake" . He also says that the silver-robed man is stronger than the black man, and that he can't "cut in" with his eyes.
