About This Chapter
The two of them realize that they have been put on the "wanted list" together. They look around for food and other necessities, but they can't find anything. They decide to steal a bag of wheat to distract people who are busy with their errands. The bag is full of memories of the time they spent together, and the monster will remember all of them. The monster will also remember that he is a cunning bastard, and rejected him and left him. He says that he loves the monster, and that they can always be friends in the future. He tells the monster that he can see everything he's done, but that he doesn't want to be friends with him forever. He asks the monster if he loves him too, but the monster would never say such a thing. It's too bright in the mirror, he says, and it's impossible to say "I love you." The monster tried to confuse him and make him never wake up, but he accidentally killed it. He's supposed to be outside, but there's no movement in the world. He wants to go back to their happiest time together, even if they are friends forever.
