A black snake appears out of nowhere, destroys the land, and terrorizes the people. The castle should be brought inside during times of crisis, says the young master, who wants to kill the snake. The young master wonders where his mother and father are, and wonders why the snake did not come out of the castle. He wonders if they would have been dead if the snake had not appeared. He also wonders why he is still alive, as if the lords can defeat him. He thinks that the lords would have defeated him if they had not returned quietly. He is shocked that his daughter still lives, and he vows to kill her before he destroys the castle
