Before the duel, amel tells Roxane that if she loses, she plans to join the twilight dawn, where she will be able to gather information. She asks Roxane if she is planning on throwing away everything she has, and she says that she is not. She wants to live for her, she says, because it is hard to find someone who can relate to her. She says that nothing good comes of living long, and that she will leave her mark on those after escaping. She tells him that she has built a hut, so that she can check in on her health regularly. She adds that she does not know the names of some of the diseases that are progressing in her, but that she expects her death if she expected it. He says that if he returns, he will die of sure. He asks if he can still report about him, and he says that even if he says so, he is still afraid of trusting his life to Roxane's kindness, so he prepared a deal: he would ask for his position as leader if one of them died. He adds that if Roxane gets rid of him, she will have to train two new recruits, one to replace Roxane and the other to replace him.
