About This Chapter
Aquila snores as she prepares to leave. She asks if she can go on another patrol. She wonders if her guard is holding up well, and wonders if someone has come during the night. She decides to go back, but wonders if she will be able to sleep before she goes back. She looks for the airship, but can't find it. She thinks it's better to look for the heir to the northwest region, the place where amel has lived above the river. If she can find it, she can be forgiven. She tells him that she was punished for trying to monopolize fertilizer, and that they didn't tell her where the fertilizer was coming from. They are the ones who gave her the fertilizer, she says, and she needs to destroy her land so that they can give it to her. They have another man to fight, and he's not a leader. He's a traitor, he says. He tells her to take out the current from the leader, because everyone is desperate for help. She says she forgives him, but she says that it will be hard for others to forgive her. She reminds him that he did lose the trust of the people in the southeast region, not here. He says that if she wants to continue, she has to prove her conviction with her actions. She has to find a way to be with them in the future,
