About This Chapter
In this chapter, the monster explains that he has been living in the forest for a month without any human contact. He wants to leave, but the monster reminds him that he can't leave because it's their hideout. The monster asks who the child's parent is, and the monster tells him that it looks like a "real family" to him. He says that he's not going to do anything "for a cheap trick" , and that he won't fall for a trick like that. He tells the monster that he needs to tell the family what's happened, but that he doesn't have the mana to tell them. He asks the monster if he can stay with him, and he says he'll stay if the monster gives him a staff. He's amazed at the monster's plan, and says he threw his best plan out there, but it didn't work. He tries to figure out how to get out of the forest, but he thinks that the monster is trying to escape, not run away. He wonders if the monsters are using teleportation to destroy magic when they're spotted. He thinks that's a good idea, because he can start learning from now on.
