In this short scene, we learn that the young man, chen, is still very young and has not yet attained the "awakened" status of a member of the Qian family. The young man tells his mother that he has been rude to her and asks her to forgive him for his rudeness. The mother tells him that he is still young and should be forgiven for being so rude. She also tells chen to watch his mouth as she is the wife of the "qin house" . She accuses chen of having indulged his servant in a "bully bloodline" and calls him a "little bastard" for being arrogant. . The two women continue to argue and fight until the mother finally intervenes and tells them to stop.
