He tells the story of a father who tried to use the liquid on his son to refine his body. The father begged him to hold off for a while so that his son's future achievements would surpass that of his father's. The narrator says that the next day, his father did the same thing to his son. He says that wealthy people are idiots, and that the emperor in the story drowned his son in the water with the liquid. This is why the major forces have told the people to leave the water immediately if they can't withstand the pain of refining their bodies. He explains that in order to withstand the energy of the liquid, the other forces were using true qi, but the baptism of the blood spiritual pool was to see who could absorb the most energy. The more energy that the body can absorb, the stronger it will become. But, resisting the energy with true qi only reduces its effectiveness. The deeper the body is immersed, the more energy it can absorb. The concentration of the water is twice as high as it was before, and absorption efficiency is also two times as fast. He goes on to say that he is close to his physical limit.
