This chapter's epigraph comes from a famous poem by Henry Wadsworth Longfellow, in which he says, "I will not allow you to harm my brothers. I will not let you hurt my brothers." This poem is a response to the idea that one's brothers are brothers and that one should not hurt them. In other words, one shouldn't hurt his brothers, even if they're not his brothers. In this case, the brothers are chen-qin and zhen. The two men argue about whether or not they should fight, and chen says he'll do it anyway. He's not going to let his brothers hurt him, he says. He wants to make sure that zhen thinks he's a good looking guy. He also wants to show off his martial arts skills in front of his friends. . He says he can take both of them down and make them look good, so he can look like a good martial artist. He doesn't know how to do this, but he thinks he can do it by himself. He thinks zhen underestimated him, because he sent two wimps to deal with him and made his sworn brothers worried about nothing. This is the first time chen's ever said anything like this, and he thinks it's time for him to beat
