Back in his room, Ren tells his mom that he's done with his mission. He's tired and wants to check his loot first. He tells his brother to challenge Ming again, but Ming doesn't want to accept Ren's challenge, so he'll go to the demon pool instead. Ren says that if Ming had accepted his challenge, he could beat Ming and prove that Ming is nothing but a trash. But Ming won't go to that pool, so Ren suggests that they knock on the door two days later and find out who he is. He says that Ming has been ordered to go to Ming's palace, and Ren reassures his mom and brother that Ming will be fine. Vice commander zuo tells Ren to stay with Ming while he goes to the palace. Ren thanks him for curing his old disease, and says that he owes him his life.
