In this short scene, we learn that the father of yuechi and feng qin has come to court to find out what has happened to his two grandchildren. He is angry that his grandson, fen quan, has been injured in the competition, and that his son, feng xin, has had his arm cut off by a member of the Guizhou sect. The father is also angry that chen quan is not his son and that he has been so kind to his grandson and son-in-law all these years. He asks the court to arrest the two children, but the court refuses to do so, saying that he only came to see chen qins condition. He tells the court that he will not kill his grandchildren, but will abolish their dantian so that they can have the taste of being crippled.
