Back in the mid-'80s, a young man named adam tells his mom that he's going to go to college in Texas to get away from his life as a prostitute. He's also going to get a job as a pimp, so he can get out of the prostitution business. He tells her that he just told her the baby was hers, and that she's the one who should tell her mom about it. She's not going to listen to him, he tells her, because he doesn't trust her. He says he'll tell his dad about it, and then he and his mom have to sneak back to baltimore to find out what's up.
