About This Chapter
The narrator delivers a soliloquy in which he delivers his own message to Scott. He tells Scott that he should get out of his "shit hole" before it bursts. He also tells him that Harry is taking him to a bar tonight and that he is not fooling himself again into thinking that he will ever leave his wife. He says that he thinks he will go to a good place and find out what his wife would have told him. He says if he wanted a brother he would "fuck my mother". He then tells him to think of his best friend and says that she should have shut her mouth and not let him have a piece of his ass.
