About This Chapter
"Me , myself, and me" is the title of this chapter, which opens with a description of the three of them in the early morning of October 15th, 1981. They are all in the palm of the hand of the monster, who has already left for his job. The narrator complains that his head has been "bashed all in" by his wife's drunken rage. He tells his wife that she is her mother, and that he does not know where her money is. He also tells her that he will never be able to get a job back home because of the tight budget. He says that he has talked to a man about getting a part-time job at Macy's, but that he cannot afford it. Two days later, he learns that his wife has been arrested in connection with a drug case.
