He admits that he had no idea that his senpai would "chase" him all the way to the finish line, and he apologizes for being so positive. The senpai tells him that he will be treated better after this experience. The narrator asks the other runners what they are doing, and they tell him that their club sponsor had told them that they had to run in the streets. The runners wear costumes, and the narrator wonders if the runners are wearing thongs. He asks the runners to report to their assigned locations, and then he tells them that the marathon will start at 10 a.m.
