About This Chapter
The chapter opens with a flashback to two years ago, when the school was still called Oenan. It's the third year of the school's existence, and many of the students are still in their first year. He tells us he used not to like the idea of joining the school because he didn't want to be associated with "the big idea, ugly" . He's shocked at how much progress the other students have made in their social life. He also tells us about how the other girls in the school are holding back progress because they're too nice to the "what's big idea" , which is ugly. He asks the other student if he thinks that "misogyny" is a problem. The other student says he doesn't think it's a problem, and that he was against accepting women into the school. The second-year student tells him that the other girl is begging for him to join the school, but he refuses. He says he'll return to the school only on one condition: he wants to be allowed to join on the condition that the school accepts female members. This is the guy who used to serve as the vice captain of the club, and he tells the other two students that they need to find a place to hang out since the school is full of them. They all agree that they don't really like the school and that they'd rather just let it die. The two students explain that they both grew up in other schools, and both of them were very good at their jobs. They both had friends in
