The narrator tells us that he doesn't believe what he's seen in the flashback. He thinks that the whole thing was just a dream, and that the people he met in the dream didn't realize that they were in the real world. The narrator then asks what happened to aki, and she tells him that she asked him out when he was assigned to a class in his second year. He's not lying, she says, because he never even talked to her. He also says that even though the captain isn't back, he hasn't been able to create a "new way" of talking to her, because she's with someone else. He tells the narrator to get out of the way of the captain's relationship with aki. He says that the captain probably has found someone else to be with, and the narrator thinks that's a good thing, because the captain is probably happier without her around. He asks the narrator who the guy is, and he says it's the guy's name, not hers. She's so sorry that she dumps the guy, but she can't figure out who he is. She says that she used to be a short and blond girl, and now she'll be back to being short and blonde. She also says she'd like to go back to school, since the school building is being renovated.
