In this chapter, we learn that Nemo's brain is mushed, and he's in a coma. He's not sure what to do, since his family has all disappeared. Nemo says he can't do anything about it, but he can feel the sadness and depression of his family. He can feel that they're "so far away" from him. Nemo thanks his father for taking care of Nemo, and tells him that the village has stood with him this time, and that they no longer have any responsibility to guard the underground pool. He asks where he can go, since there's a lot of competition in town, but his father says he'll stay and find a way for him to become stronger.
